Graduated from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) with Bachelor of Law in 2012 and Diploma in Syariah Law & Practice in 2013. He was admitted to the Malaysian Bar in July 2013. Yazid was a Partner in Messrs Gan, Ho & Razlan Hadri before starting his own journey with Yazid & Co in May 2023 before entering partneship with Tishondra in December 2024.

Yazid practices both civil and criminal litigation and takes up advisory work on syariah related matters. He has 12 years litigation experience before different levels of courts, from conducting trials at Magistrates, Sessions and High Courts to arguing appeals at High Court, Court of Appeal and Federal Court. Yazid also appears before the preliminary investigating committee of Malaysian Medical Council and disciplinary committee of Malaysian Bar Council in cases of alleged breach of the Code of Professional Conduct. He also serves as Member of the Advocates & Solicitors Disciplinary Committee Panel.

Tishondra Puspanathan practice encompasses insurance law, banking law, tort and civil litigation. He has a specialised focus in medical law, with wide experience advising insurers, hospitals, doctors and patients on a range of stand-alone advisory and litigation work. Tishondra also supports doctors, hospitals and clinics on an array of regulatory and contractual matters concerning procurement, liability and employment.

Given his specialised interest in the area he is regularly called upon to speak on regulatory, compliance, insurance and medico-legal matters concerning medical facility administration, insurance coverages, medical and clinical law developments. 

His focus on the esoteric practice of medical law has not been a hurdle to undertaking briefs involving litigation and advisory roles in matters involving family law, data protection and privacy laws, AI governance, ESG, mental health, sports arbitration, nanotechnology, biotechnology, product liability, licensing, franchising and medical aesthetics and devices. 

Building on a solid foundation instilled in his early years of practice, he also navigated unchartered waters by accepting simple briefs in the area of construction law which paved the way for him to be appointed to advice two international state owed construction companies on matters relating to construction laws and practices.  

In his spare time he plays his part to contribute to the continued development of the legal practice for members of the Bar through continued professional development. This in his various positions on the committees he regularly sits on has to date organised or given a good deal of seminars and talks for lawyers, insurers, doctors, hospital management, lecturers and underwriters.

Moving forward, Tishondra has set his sight in breaking the mold for junior practitioners to succeed independently in their practice of law by pushing the envelope to build and grow a successful career in law for the long term within their permanent employments without limitations from hierarchical restraints. In his own penchant for professional betterment, he has on his own qualified as a Mediator, Arbitrator and Adjudicator under its separate professional bodies.
