Claim over breach of promise and guarantee for RM 8.9 million

Messrs Yazid & Co was instructed to act as Lead Counsel for claim initiated by 3 individuals against Conlay Construction Sdn Bhd and its director over breach of promise and guarantee for payment amounting to RM 8.9 million.

The claim also premised on action under Bills of Exchange Act 1949 for dishonoured cheques. The company on the other hand pleaded illegality, no consideration and influence peddling as their defence and counter-claim.

The action was filed before Seremban High Court and trial was concluded in December 2023.

The case is now set for decision by end of March 2024.
